What Are Emerald Ash Borers?
Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a beetle that is an invasive species, originating from Asia. Unfortunately, the twin cities has a rising number EAB. If not caught or treated early, the tree can quickly die. The female EAB hatch their eggs in the cracks of the ash tree. Once hatched, they create galleries in the tree. Galleries appear in the tree like tunnels that are formed by the beatles. This causes the ash tree to lose important nutrients it needs to survive.
If your ash tree has droopy or yellow looking leaves, your tree may be infected with EAB. If unsure, call Pro-Tree Outdoor Services. We are highly skilled and trained on EAB and can treat or remove your ash tree that is infected.
