As a Crew Leader, you’ll be responsible for orchestrating and supervising one of Pro Tree’s pruning and removal teams. Your duties will include climbing, rigging, and proficiently operating heavy machinery to carry out tree care tasks with precision and efficiency all while prioritizing the safety of your team.

Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of production arborists: Creating robust work plans to ensure safety and efficiency on job sites
- Adhere to Procedures: Follow Pro Tree’s established processes to maintain consistency in our service delivery and ensure thorough accountability.
- Customer Service: Clearly communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service
- Safety: Ensure all work is being performed to industry safety standards, as well as ANSI Z133
- Quality: Ensure all work is being performed to the highest standard and quality.
- Climbing/Rigging And Equipment Operations: Use specialized climbing and rigging techniques, as well as aerial lifts and cranes, to access trees safely and perform pruning or remove trees as needed
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair various tree care equipment to ensure safe and proper use
Compensation/Benefits:
- Pay ranging between $30-$38 per hour, depending on experience
- Weather permitting, four production days per week with a flexible Friday

Required Qualifications:
- Must have or be able to obtain within 6 months of employment ISA arborist certification, EHAP certification. If you don’t have these but are capable of obtaining them we will help you get there. They are a requirement for all of our arborist crew leaders.
- A minimum of three years of climbing experience, including pruning, removal, and working with cranes and rigging
- A minimum of two years of equipment operating experience
- An understanding of how to perform advanced pruning, removal, and general tree care maintenance in accordance with industry standards
- Experience with tree care safety standards, such as Z133
Preferred Qualifications:
- CDL preferred; we cover all associated expenses
- Urban forestry or other related degree
Customer Service Representative
Pro Tree is currently looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team! We’re a family-owned company that thrives on assisting our customers. We are well-versed in all forms of Arboriculture and can help develop a holistic plan to ensure the health of trees.
As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll be performing various administrative and office support duties. Most of these tasks include taking incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and planning logistic routes for our arborists. A successful candidate in this role will demonstrate strong customer service skills, provide excellent attention to detail, and have an interest in creating process improvements to grow your career with our company. This position will be located in our Shakopee, MN office.
Responsibilities:
- Answer all incoming calls from customers and up selling Pro-Tree’s services
- Answer any incoming email inquiries about tree services
- Attend key meetings, take notes, keep track of deliverables, and follow up on any missing action items
- Help schedule and plan logistical routes for the team
- Assist customers on any inquiries or direct them to the correct party
- Provide help to other employees on various projects when needed
- Independently create, organize, and maintain documents and initiate follow up when needed
- Help maintain the office environment by ordering supplies, running errands, and preparing packages
- Prepare and send out renewable service contracts to customers, and follow up as needed
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of administrative and receptionist duties
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer data entry
- Customer service experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- At least one year of Administrative Assistant experience
- Scheduling experience
- Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience using customer database systems
Consulting Sales Arborist – $85,000-$150,000 per year

As a Sales Arborist, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and promoting our tree care services. You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with potential clients, assessing their tree care needs, and providing expert recommendations.
In this role, you will be responsible for meeting with customers to discuss and understand the care and maintenance of their trees, and provide practical solutions to solve their problems.

- Consulting appointments: Meet with customers to understand their needs, provide expert advice and solutions to solve their problems.

- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, landscape contractors, property managers, and other industry professionals to generate referrals and expand our client base.

- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining open lines of communication to ensure client satisfaction.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to arboriculture and tree care.
Required Qualifications:
- ISA Certified Arborist or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Strong knowledge of tree care practices, including pruning techniques, tree identification, technical removals, tree health assessment, and pest management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately assess project requirements and prepare comprehensive proposals.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, or related field preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the arboriculture or landscaping industry.
- Proficiency in excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM software preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience performing general tree care pruning and removal work or plant health care.

- Hazard and Health Assessment: Evaluate the condition of trees to determine their risk of failure and inspect for insects and diseases, recommending appropriate mitigation measures
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair various tree care equipment to ensure safe and efficient use
- Worksite Management: Manage the worksite to ensure that it is safe, and that work is completed in a, efficient, and timely manner
- Customer Service: Clearly communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service
